MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
July 24, 2025
Welcome to Shadow Hills Elementary School!
It is with great excitement that I welcome you to a new school year at Shadow Hills Elementary – a proud 2025 California Distinguished School! This recognition reflects the dedication of our incredible staff, students, and families who work together to create a learning environment that is safe, inclusive, and focused on academic excellence.
At Shadow Hills, we continue to build on the strong foundation of our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) program, centered around our 4 BEs:
- Be Respectful
- Be Responsible
- Be Safe
- Be Kind
These values guide everything we do, helping our students grow into thoughtful, confident, and caring individuals.
We are also excited to be expanding our commitment to college and career readiness through the integration of AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) strategies in our classes. From goal-setting to organizational skills and academic discourse, our students are developing the habits of mind and the skills needed to thrive, both now and in the future. Because at Shadow Hills, we believe: "A University Mindset Begins Here."
We are thrilled for the year ahead and can’t wait to see the incredible things our students will accomplish. Together, let’s make this a year full of learning, growth, and possibility.
With Hawk pride,
Leonard Fisher, Principal
