Dear Shadow Hills Families,

Welcome to a new school year! I hope you had a wonderful summer filled with opportunities to rest, recharge, and spend time with family and friends. As we open our doors for another exciting year of learning, I am thrilled to welcome both our returning families and those joining our school community for the first time.

This year, we remain committed to creating a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive. A key part of that effort is our continued focus on PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports). Through our schoolwide expectations—the 4 BEs: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe, and Be Kind—we will continue teaching, recognizing, and celebrating positive behaviors that help all scholars succeed. We are proud of the strong culture we have built together and look forward to strengthening it even further this year.

We are also excited to expand opportunities for students through a variety of new and engaging afterschool programs. These programs will provide scholars with additional opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills, build friendships, and connect their learning to real-world experiences. We encourage families to take advantage of these enriching opportunities as they become available.

While we celebrate the many experiences our students will have this year, academics remain at the heart of our work. Every lesson, every activity, and every opportunity is designed to help prepare scholars for future success in college, career, and life. Our dedicated staff is committed to providing high-quality instruction, challenging learning experiences, and the support students need to reach their fullest potential.

We know that student success is strongest when schools and families work together. Your partnership, encouragement, and involvement make a tremendous difference in the lives of our scholars. Together, we will inspire curiosity, foster a love of learning, and help every student achieve great things.
